Chest X-Ray Examination Notice
- Online booking and purchase are required.
- A chest X-ray report reflects your physical condition only at the exact time of imaging. If you experience persistent dry cough, hemoptysis (coughing up blood), or chest pain, you should consult a doctor regarding whether a further chest CT scan is needed to rule out subtle lesions, even if your X-ray results appear normal.
If you have any questions regarding testing, please feel free to call our center at (852) 3504 2738.
Frequently Asked Questions
A chest X-ray is a rapid, painless radiological imaging diagnostic primarily used to evaluate heart and lung conditions. ApexHealth’s X-ray service accurately captures subtle thoracic changes and serves as a vital diagnostic tool for pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis (TB), cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), and early signs of lung cancer.
According to international safety standards, the radiation exposure from a single chest X-ray is extremely low. ApexHealth utilizes advanced digital radiography systems that optimize radiation dosage, ensuring clear image quality while safeguarding client safety.

Stand upright with your chest against the X-ray machine plate and place your hands on your hips. This position captures the posteroanterior (frontal) view of the chest and lungs. You will also be asked to stand sideways against the plate with arms raised to capture lateral (side) views.
Remain still during exposure and hold your breath for a few seconds as instructed, which helps minimize motion blur in the images.
Testing & Report Notification
The general testing procedure takes approximately 45 minutes.
