Bacillus coagulans is a well studied probiotic that, when taken daily, improves nutrient utilization in healthy adult dogs and is effective in maintaining healthy stool quality, frequency, moisture content.

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is the main component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria that act as endotoxin, which can cause an acute inflammatory response by triggering the release of intracellular inflammatory cytokines.

Bifidobacterium adolescentis suppresses the concentration of LPS induced by a high-fat diet through modulating the ratio of Proteobacteria to Bacteroidetes in the colon, thereby reducing colitis.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus can help reduce or prevent clinical symptoms in dogs with a genetic predisposition to atopic dermatis (AD). Studies have shown that Lactobacillus rhamnosus can reduce the inflammatory indicators (allergen-specific IgE) of AD puppies. In addition, exposure of puppies to Lactobacillus rhamnosus in their early life of growth significantly reduced immune markers (allergenspecific
IgE) of AD.

Oral administration of Streptococcus thermophilus increases the abundance of probiotic bacteria in the feces of healthy cats and dogs, thereby enhancing gut health by reducing intestinal pathogens, producing antimicrobial substances, and enhancing immune responses.
