Several countries have tightened the testing and entry restrictions on travellers from Hong Kong due to the increasing Covid-19 cases recently. Before planning your trip, please make sure to check the latest testing entry requirements of your destination, booking your COVID-19 PCR test and bring along sufficient anti-epidemic items.

Australia – Entry Requirements
Travelers from Hong Kong are no longer required to present a negative test result prior to entry.
Canada – Entry Requirements
Starting from 5 Jan 2023, all travellers aged 2 or above arriving in Canada from China, Hong Kong and Macao are required to provide a negative test result by undertaking a COVID-19 PCR test or a Rapid Antigen Test (monitored by a telehealth service or an accredited laboratory or testing provider) no more than 2 days before departure. These temporary measures are in place for 30 days.
French – Entry Requirements
Starting from 5 Jan 2023, all travellers aged 2 or above arriving in Canada from China, Hong Kong and Macao are required to provide a negative test result by undertaking a COVID-19 PCR test or a Rapid Antigen Test (monitored by a telehealth service or an accredited laboratory or testing provider) no more than 2 days before departure. These temporary measures are in place until 31 Jan 2023.
China – Entry Requirements
Travelers from Hong Kong are no longer required to present a negative test result prior to entry.
India – Entry Requirements
All travellers arriving in India from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and Japan by flight are required to provide a negative test result by undertaking a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure.
Japan – Entry Requirements
Hongkongers without full vaccination (with recognized vaccine) are required to provide a negative test result by undertaking a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure.
South Korea – Entry Requirements
Travelers from Hong Kong are no longer required to present a negative test result prior to entry.

What is RT-PCR nucleic acid test?
The full name of RT-PCR is “Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction”, which detects the genetic material (nucleic acids) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes new coronary pneumonia. Samples can be collected by “deep throat saliva”, “nasal swab” or “combined nasal and throat swabs”.
